Important social function
The Mission
WeMiam is the app for building business networking. The catchphrase is “Networking with a French Touch”. Because in the French culture, people traditionally meet a lot at bars and around meals, and they love good food. Restaurants and bars have a very important social function.
Miam in French means yummy
It was very important to find the right style, that will convey the right feeling. So, I decided to base on the associations. I was using colors of cappuccino, croissants.

My task was to create an app with UI that should display this feature of the french culture, it should be nice and clean, and attractive. I was doing this by looking for the right color balance and soft forms. Also, I was using the illustration in french ish retro style.
One of the features of this app is that people can find not just other people, but also they can find the right place for a meeting
User-centered process
Style of work
The design process at WeMiam was user-centered. I was focusing on the users and their needs in each phase of the design process. As I don't have real access to the users, because it is the app for France, I was creating an interactive prototype and tested it on people via skype.
Communication with the client
Collaboration
I discussed every insight with the client to get a better understanding of the users and align my design decisions with the brand strategy and business needs. Also, I kept him updated through all design processes to avoid miscommunication.
